When it comes to women's health, the power of technology and innovation can be a game-changer. This is the story of Keshika Jayakumar, a young entrepreneur with a mission to improve the healthcare journey for women, especially those facing challenges with their reproductive health.
A Personal Journey, a Professional Calling
Keshika's journey is a testament to the impact of personal experiences on professional pursuits. For years, she endured period pain that went unnoticed and untreated by medical professionals. This dismissal of her symptoms, a common issue faced by many women, became a driving force for her to make a change.
"I've been called dramatic, but I knew something was wrong. It's a relief to finally have a platform to help others like me," Keshika shares.
Cyra: A Tech Solution for Women's Health
Keshika, along with her classmate Shaurya Kansal, has developed Cyra, an app that aims to revolutionize how women track and manage their reproductive health. Cyra uses AI to monitor symptoms of conditions like adenomyosis, PCOS, and endometriosis, providing users with valuable insights and a way to share their experiences with healthcare professionals.
"The goal is to empower women to take control of their health. With Cyra, we want to shorten the diagnosis process and ensure that women's voices are heard," Keshika explains.
The Future of Cyra
While Cyra is still in its development phase, Keshika and her team are committed to ensuring user data security and privacy. They plan to launch the app within the next six months, and their vision doesn't stop there.
"We want Cyra to become the go-to tool for women's health. Our long-term goal is to make it a diagnostic tool, widely used in clinics and hospitals. I want women to know that their health matters and that their voices are powerful," Keshika adds.
A Bright Future for Women's Health
Keshika's story highlights the potential for technology to bridge gaps in healthcare. With her determination and the support of programs like iAccelerate and the King's Trust Young Entrepreneur's Program, she is well on her way to making a significant impact.
"I never imagined I'd be an entrepreneur, but here I am, fighting for women's health. It's a privilege and a responsibility I take very seriously," she concludes.
As Cyra continues to develop, it's clear that Keshika's passion and drive will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of women's healthcare.
